About Rosie
Singing along
with the world
Believing that every individual carries a unique song, Rosie writes poetry to document the resilience, humanity, and faces of those experiencing homelessness.
In 2020, Rosie traded the bustle of London for the canopy of Charlotte. Arriving in the quiet of a global pandemic, she found herself struck by the stories visible on every street corner - lives unfolding in the shadows of the city.
With a background in public health and non-profit Leadership, she followed that pull to Roof Above, a leading provider of homeless services in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she began volunteering weekly at their Day Services Center in Uptown. She now also serves as Chair of the Board.
Rosie’s work is defined by a belief that every life is a "unique song." Through her poetry, she documents the resilience of those experiencing homelessness, blending community advocacy with creative storytelling to ensure every voice in the “Queen City” is heard.
For Rosie, poetry isn't just a solo performance. It's her way of singing along with the world.
